Park Board
With seven members and one student representative, the Park Board consults with the city council and staff in matters relating to park land, park facilities, program, and finances. The board’s functions include long and short range planning related to capital improvement projects, acquisition, development and use of park lands, park facilities, recreational, and leisure time facilities, and recreational programs. Board members serve two-year terms.
Park Board members also represent the city on a Joint Recreation Board which meets four times a year. Primary attention is directed to recreation programs and activities developed and offered through the Joint Board as well as making recommendations to the city council through the joint board concerning policies on recreational programs and activities..
Park Board agendas and minutes are available on the Park Board meetings page. The Park Board meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.
