Water aerobics
- Water Arthritis
- Swimming is not a prerequisite. Teacher is certified through the Arthritis Foundation. Cardiovascular workout, stretching, and toning without impact.
- Water Arthritis ($3)
- This class is for non-members of the Williston Center. Members wishing to participate will be required to pay the $2.00 fee.
- Deep Water
- This is a non-impact aerobic workout with toning and stretching. Aqua Belts are used as floatation equipment. The whole class is taught in the deep end.
- Water
- This includes aerobics, toning, and stretching. Class will be taught in deep and shallow water with aqua belts being used for floatation.
Land aerobics
- Ballroom Dance
- Six different styles of ballroom dance are taught in these courses. Each class is 60 minutes and covers 3 styles each. For more information, please contact Recreation Services.
- Body Blast
- This morning class adds in-depth, overall body toning to your exercise routine. Abdominals and stretching will conclude this class.
- Body Sculpting
- This simple, yet challenging class is designed to tone the entire body through the use of Body Bars, tubing, and free weights.
- Body Tone
- This a.m. class adds in-depth toning to your exercise routine.
- Cardio Challenge Plus
- This class adds variety while providing cardio strengthening. This class begins with traditional warm-up and may include floor aerobics, kickboxing (when applicable), and step aerobics. Abdominal work and stretching concludes the class.
- Cardio Combo
- This popular multi-level class combines step and low/high impact choreography into one dynamic class.
- Cardio Dance
- Jazz up your exercise plan with this upbeat class. The instructor will use a mix of dances to give you a well-rounded workout! Come in comfortable light-weight shoes.
- Cardio Mix
- Boost your cardiovascular fitness with this refreshed mix of cardio exercises.
- Circuit
- A little of something for every part of you! Great for new participants and those with experience. You pace this class at a rate best for you.
- Core Conditioning
- Now is the best time to work on your core! Abdominals, glutes, and lower back will be worked in this 25-minute class. Note: Participants must come to class already warmed-up.
- Goju-Kai Karate
- Get in shape and learn an effective style of self-defense while developing personal confidence. Classes and skills are progressive and ongoing. For more info, please contact Recreation Services.
- Hi/Lo Fitness
- This class contains high and low impact aerobic moves to get you on (or off) your feet. Instructors teach to all levels of aerobics conditioning; members must increase or decrease intensity as desired.
- Hot Shoes
- This workout combines the art of dance with the science of exercise, the fun of rhythmic routines, and fantastic motivating music with mind/body activity. Please register at Recreation Services.
- Kickboxing
- Improve your self-confidence and gain strength, coordination, and flexibility while burning calories in this high-energy class. Please register at Recreation Services.
- Low Impact
- This class contains low impact aerobic moves to get you motivated.
- Pilates
- A form of body conditioning that strengthens, stretches, and tones your muscles, while improving posture and balance. Pilates can increase your flexibility, unite your mind and body, and give you a more stream-lined shape, producing longer and leaner muscles. Please register at Recreation Services.
- Pilates II
- A more advanced level of Pilates that adds additional poses and more challenging body conditioning. Pilates II challenges you in order to provide intense Pilates work to your exercise routine. Please register at Recreation Services.
- Pump It Up
- Resistance training class perfect for men and women of all ages. Fun workout using a variable weight barbell and music. Also includes abdominal work and flexibility training. Please register at Recreation Services.
- Step and Sculpt
- This cardiovascular class combines choreographed step aerobics with muscular training. It will get you in shape and leave you feeling great! Basic step experience recommended.
- Step Interval
- This challenging workout is composed of intervals of step combinations along with muscle toning. This workout challenges your muscles as well as your heart.
- Strictly Step and Strictly Step II
- Cardiovascular classes combine basic and advanced step moves to get you in shape and leave you feeling great! Basic step experience required for evening class.
- T’ai Chi
- A very old Chinese exercise characterized by a series of careful, precise, and fluid movements—something like slow motion dance. It’s purpose is to cultivate relaxation, balance, strength, and flexibility, both in mind and body.
- TBC (Total Body Conditioning)
- A little of something for every part of you! Includes cardio and weight exercises. Great for new participants and those with experience. Just pace this class at a rate best for you.
- WTOA (Weight Training for Older Adults)
- Weight training is not only good for building strength, but is great for meeting other health and wellness goals. In this social environment, you will learn proper use of the weight machines, free weights, and cardiovascular equipment. Professional trainers will guide you through this class.
- Yoga
- Basic fundamentals of yoga as a system for physical, mental and spiritual integration. Participants learn and practice basic postures or asanas, working to correct poor posture and faulty breathing while gaining awareness of the nervous system. Evening Yoga participants must register at Recreation Services.
