Our Banquet Hall can be used as one large banquet area or divided into two separate spaces to accommodate various sizes and types of meetings and gatherings. As a banquet room, the dimensions are 100′ x 50′ and can accommodate up to 250 people. There is a half moon shaped hardwood dance floor with a radius of 17′. Also included in the rental fee are tables and chairs for up to 250 people, an 11′ x 11′ projection screen, a podium, a PA system, and a commercial kitchen.
When the collapsible wall is used, two separate rooms are available for rent. The Community Room can be set up with tables and chairs to seat up to 112, or theater style to seat 135. The Dining Room can be set up to seat up to 128 at tables, or theater style for 135.
The Banquet Hall is available for use at the following times:
- Monday through Thursday: 4 p.m.–10 p.m
(limited daytime hours). - Friday: 4 p.m.–midnight (limited daytime hours)
- Saturday: Up to a 10 hour period between 8 a.m.–midnight.
- Sunday: Up to a 10 hour period between 8 a.m.–10 p.m.
Minnetonka residents may reserve this room up to 18 months in advance, non-residents up to 12 months in advance. A completed application and either full payment of rental fee or $250 deposit, whichever is less, are required to process the reservation. This deposit is non-refundable, and is applied to the total balance.
You are welcome to use whichever caterer you would like for your event. If this is a licensed caterer, we require that a current copy of their license be on file with the Community Center. If you will provide the food yourself or use a non-licensed caterer, you must provide proof of $300,000 liability insurance for the day of your event. This coverage is usually included in your homeowner’s insurance policy under the general liability section and you must have the city of Minnetonka listed as a Certificate Holder.
If you choose to serve alcohol, we only allow wine, beer and champagne. We also require that the proof of $300,000 liability insurance be provided for serving alcohol and that security is hired for the event. We arrange for security through the Minnetonka Police department, requiring an additional fee of $210.
