Spring Hill Park
Spring Hill Park is one of several parks that work in concert to service this neighborhood park service area (NPSA), which is one of the largest and most developed in the city. Relative to other NPSA’s, the park and open space acreage is more limited and thus the development of each of these parks is critical to meeting neighborhood needs. Lacking quantity, quality becomes that much more important. Since Spring Hill, Woodgate and Tower Hill are not in close proximity to each other, there are few concerns about duplication of facilities, with perhaps the exception of tennis courts, which are not likely to be needed in every park. The parks’ interrelationship with Lake Charlotte is very limited since that park will have very limited development.
