Glen Lake Park

The park’s primary function is to provide ballfield athletic facilities for youth. Two of the fields are heavily programmed for boys baseball and the third field is used for girls.

Although primarily a ballfield athletic facility, the park currently provides play equipment, an activity center, and a skate park for neighborhood and community use. Given the distribution of parks in this area, these added features are important to servicing the active recreational needs of this area.

Archived parks renewal information

Please note: This information is part of an archived record of the parks renewal process. Some items, such as concept plans, may not reflect the final plans and current state of the park.

The south end of the retaining wall that was built at the east side of the new parking lot was modified to better accommodate the spectator area for the lower youth baseball field, as well as walkway improvements. Tiered seating was constructed on the sloped area behind home plate. These improvements were ready for the 2007 season.

Glen Lake Plaza will be renovated to have a more natural looking water feature to replace the existing, inoperable fountain.

Glen Lake Elementary had warming house replaced in 2007.
