Volunteer opportunities for habitat restoration in Minnetonka parks
Volunteers make a big difference on habitat restoration projects. This is especially true in areas where extra care needs to be taken to save remnant native plants. Because there are more habitat restoration projects than the city can undertake, efforts by volunteers are critical to our success. While improving parks in your neighborhoods, volunteers gain valuable hands-on experience to use on their own property.
Volunteers are best matched to projects according to the group or individual’s ability and availability. To inquire about volunteer opportunities, contact the Minnetonka Natural Resources Division at 952.988.8423 or email the city’s restoration specialist at jrlarson@eminnetonka.com.
