Water and energy conservation

Most of our natural resources, such as gas, coal and water, are available in finite quantities. While three-quarters of the earth’s surface is covered by water, only one percent is available to as freshwater—97 percent is salty and the remaining two percent is frozen in glacial ice.
Clean fresh water is a valuable resource. Minnetonka residences and businesses use more than double the amount of water in the summer months as compared to the winter, primarily due to lawn irrigation. Do your part to conserve water today by turning the faucet off while brushing your teeth, taking a shorter shower, or installing a water sensor on your irrigation system.
