Outdoor ice rinks close for season
With the long-range weather forecast calling for temperatures well above average through mid-February, the city of Minnetonka has suspended maintenance of outdoor ice rinks for the season effective Thursday, February 2
Only a few tree varieties remain; order now!
The city’s annual tree sale is as popular as ever, with many tree species already sold out. Several excellent varieties remain, however, so get your order in soon!
Minnetonka City Council designates Geralyn Barone as next city manager
At its Monday, January 23, meeting, the Minnetonka City Council formally accepted the resignation of City Manager John Gunyou, who plans to retire effective June 1, 2012, and unanimously approved Assistant City Manager Geralyn Barone as the designated next city manager.
Gray’s Bay boat slip lottery set for Feb. 16
The city of Minnetonka will hold a lottery drawing February 16 for 2012 Gray’s Bay Marina boat slip vacancies and for the waiting list.
Visit Minnetonka Kids’ Fest Sunday, February 12
Hopkins-Minnetonka Recreation Services hosts Kids’ Fest Sunday, February 12, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Minnetonka Civic Center Campus.
City council special election set for Tuesday, Feb. 14
A special election to fill the vacant Minnetonka City Council Member, At Large Seat B, is set for Tuesday, February 14.
