Health Rewards Program
This is a program developed by Medica, our health care consortium, and the employee Health Rewards Committee. It is an optional program free to employees. In fact, participating employees who are enrolled in the city’s Medica health insurance plan actually receive additional monthly benefit dollars.
The Health Rewards program begins with the employee completing a confidential personal health assessment. The personal health report is intended to provide information about the employee’s health risks and help them develop an action plan to make healthy lifestyle changes. Based on the health risks identified, employees may be eligible for optional additional health counseling.
The city is provided an aggregate report. No individual personal health information is shared with the city or Medica. The aggregate information will assist the committee in creating additional health related activities for the organization.
Conferences and Training
The city of Minnetonka is committed to employee development. Each department has a goal of providing at least 16 hours of annual professional development opportunities for each employee. Most departments exceed this goal.
