All positions require that you complete an application form (PDF) or fill out an online application. You can also call 952.939.8203, or visit the Recreation Services office Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., to obtain a full application.
Recreation Services offers many part-time jobs throughout the year. Apply early as positions are filled as early as possible. It’s never too early to apply. You must be at least 16 years of age.

Williston Fitness Center
All positions are eligible for free single membership.
- Williston Fitness Center Building Supervisor
Part-time supervisor positions are responsible for minor cleaning and maintaining the facility’s safety and general condition. The right candidate will be able to multi-task, use time efficiently, pay attention to details, and give support to service desk personnel, and be able handle conflicts if they arise. Morning and evening hours possible on weekends; nightly shifts possible Monday through Friday. Hourly wages start at $8–9/hour.

- Williston Fitness Center Child Care Staff
Part-time hours may include morning and/or afternoon shifts. Staff provides non-structured, safe and fun, age-appropriate play for children ages 6 months through 8 years. Must be at least 16 years old with child care experience. Hourly wages start at $8–9/hour.

Youth Programs
- Swim Instructors
Minimum age: 16
Hours: Part-time
Schedule: Weeknights, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30–8:45 p.m.
Starting wage: $8–10
Additional information: Swim instructors needed for swim lessons program through Hopkins-Minnetonka Recreation Services. Experience preferred; however, if you do not have any experience, we will train you. You need to have a fun, energetic attitude and be willing to get in the water each day of lessons. Swim instructors teach participants how to swim, some swimming experience is helpful but not necessary. Lessons held at Hopkins West Jr High and Williston Center in Minnetonka.
